Well, I’m a day late. My apologies.

I miss Laundry. I miss him when I’m alone, and I have no one to talk with. You might ask, “What’s the big deal? He never talked back to you?” He always responded in some fashion, be it stare at me with wide eyes, look away, meow,…there was always some reaction I could play off. If he didn’t think, as some might believe, I could at least assign him a personality and play off that. I never felt alone. Now, I’m the only life around at times. (We don’t have any plants. I would just end up killing them through neglect. I don’t have a green thumb in any fashion.)

The job search continues. I’m working on my best sales pitch to land me in a production house. Wish me luck in doing so in this troubled remote working time. I have skills, but I just have to have the strength to smile, talk well, and sell my skills. There are some other things in the works, too. I hope something is a mutual right fit soon.

What I’ve learned this week…hmmm… Being by myself is much harder than it was 17 years ago when I last lived alone.

Song of the week,…hmmm… I listened to Garbage, John Wesley Harding, and Gomez this week, among others. Quite a variety!

Weekly photo will return next week.

Well, it’s been a long week. I think the song of the day is by Wally Pleasant—Stupid Day Job. As seeing I don’t have a day job outside the house, I have no way of saying a job is stupid.

Laundry left his earthly body this week. Heaven gained an angel. He was a fighter, right up to the end. He tried his darnedest to stay with us, but we both told him individually that he could go. There was no dignity in how he was choosing to stick around, even if he was a cat. The best we can do is remember the good times. How he stared at the pellet stove, how he would curl up under his blankets, how he always wanted to work on computers, his hugs, his kitty kisses…I learned a lot from that cat.

Weather picture of the day is out back about 4 pm. It just The grass is greener, and the sun was out today with some beautiful poofy clouds. I designed a template to help me make the photos more uniform. It’s a piece of plastic with some guiding lines I drew to help me catch a good picture. It should do the trick. We’ll have to wait and see over the next year.

Song of the day for today, hmmm, is a song I listened to first in 1998 I think, it’s from Neil Finn. The title is “Last One Standing”. I heard it first on a sample from q magazine. I think that one was on the compendium. Neil Finn was with Crowded House and now plays guitar with Fleetwood Mac.

Today’s a Saturday. The last week was rough with the lovely covid19. I’ve gone to the grocery store. Many people wore masks and gloves. The funny part of one of those trips came at Walmart. I saw a guy with a mask around his neck, and his gloved hand scratched his nose. Let’s think about this. He was talking with someone I guess he knew the person he spoke with, but that doesn’t excuse him. I guess some people don’t know the whys of what they do, just the, “Hey, I should do that because everyone else is.”

Here’s the picture of the day. I take them between 2 and 5 in the afternoon. I will be building a video of them coming out complete in April 2021. Granted we’ll all here.
